Lust by Emma Hart | Review

LUST2New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, brings together two polar-opposite single parents in the second book in the sinfully sexy Vegas Nights series.

Detective Adrian Potter had a lot to answer for. I didn’t care that he was tasked with shutting down the city’s most prolific hookers.

I cared that he was stopping me from providing for my daughter.

He didn’t care.
Not at all.
Until I broke down in the backseat of his car… And he let me go.

Adrian was a single parent, too. He knew how hard I had it. At least, he thought he did.
He had a job. He had people who cared. He didn’t know just how lucky he was.

My name is Perrie Fox.
I was a whore of the highest value.

Until Detective Adrian Potter.

Until the tattooed, redemption-seeking detective entered my life, looking for his fairytale.

The cop and the hooker.

Happily ever fucking never.

You’ve met one Fox sibling.
Now meet the other…

(LUST is book two of the Vegas Nights series. While it is a standalone, the time frame does overlap with scenes in the previous book, SIN. You can, however, read LUST without reading SIN.)

REVIEW

Alright Emma Hart way to blow my mind. Like seriously, I think I am still fanning myself! Lust is the second book in the Vegas Nights series, however it can be read as a standalone. Sin is the first book, which I loved, and you can read my review here. I have been slowly waiting for Lust since I read the snippet in the back of Sin. Now I really loved Sin and I thought it was going to be hard to top but nope Lust was by far my favorite of the two! I think the whole book I went between butterflies and combusting. I LOVED Adrian and Perrie’s story. I already knew I was going to enjoy it based on the blurb but it really just blew me away.

Adrian and Perrie were absolute FIRE. Like set me on fire and call me a cop…no, not a firefighter, I’m going to need a cop to put this one out!! 😉 There was so much genuine chemistry in this book. Not only that but I loved the way these two interacted together. Adrian is oh so smooth with all his damn panty dropping sexy lines…and Perrie is bound and determined to stay away. Hart gives us two MCs that are so strong and easy to love. Both have had a hard journey and are doing what they can to support themselves. I really enjoyed the face that they were both such real characters. I felt truly connected to both of them.

On that note, my second favorite part of this book was their kids! There were a couple parts that had interactions with their kids that had me laughing out loud. I got a lot of weird looks from my hubby while I was reading this one! Haha. But seriously Lola and Zac were my favorite! Again Hart gave us another two very real characters. They were sweet and such a team.

Emma Hart has stolen my heart with this one. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t absolutely love about this book. From characters, to writing, to the storyline, everything was a perfect read for me. And I will fight you for Adrian Potter…who has won the title of my new book boyfriend.

Bad Deeds: A Dirty Money Novel by Lisa Renee Jones
Release Date: August 8th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Would you bleed for the one you love?

To save his family empire from the grip of the drug cartel, Shane is pushed to the edge of darkness, forced to make choices he might never make. His father is dying. His brother is desperate to rule the empire and this means war and all gloves are off. His brother only thought he knew what dirty meant. Shane is about to give it new meaning. There is another war brewing though, and that one, is inside him, his battle between right and wrong, light and dark, and in the heat of the night, it is Emily he turns to for escape. Driving her to new limits, pushing her to accept a part of him that even he cannot.

In every one of Shane’s seductive demands, Emily can taste and feel, his torment, his struggle to save his family and not lose himself. But he is losing himself, and that is a problem just as dangerous as her secret, that still lurk in the shadows, a threat to the Brandon Family waiting to erupt. No matter where she and Shane have traveled, or will travel in the future, she can’t just sit back and watch him become everything he hates, everything he never wanted to become, everything she tried to save him from when she tried to run. It could be their undoing, the end. His end.

This is war, blood will spill, and someone in the heart of the Brandon family will not survive….

Excerpt:

“What is in your head right now?”

His eyes heat, darken. “You. Always.” He inches back and looks at me. “You’re mine. Mine to protect.” His voice is low, fierce, and he grips my panties and yanks them away. “Mine to fuck.”

I gasp and grab his shoulders. “Shane.”

His answer is to wrap his arm around my waist, pull me close, his cheek against mine, his fingers pressing into the V of my body. “Wet, just the way I like you,” he says, pressing two fingers inside me. “Wet for me. And too fucking perfect for my sanity sometimes.”

“That doesn’t sound like a compliment,” I pant out, grabbing the lapel to his suit as a sweet ache begins to build in my sex as his thumb strokes my clit.

“And no one else,” he murmurs, nipping my earlobe, “will ever touch you like this.” His fingers caress deeper inside me. “No one,” he adds, “will ever make you say their name like I want you to say mine right now. Say it.”

“Shane,” I whisper, and not because he wants me to, but rather because it’s there on my lips, the way I wish his tongue was on my lips now. “Shane, I—”

Seeming to know what I need, he cups my head and kisses me, long, slow, sensual strokes of his tongue that somehow make every touch of his fingers more intense.

“Come for me,” he murmurs, and this time when he kisses me, I start climbing that wall to release, and I’m there at the top in an instant. I stiffen while his fingers and tongue tease, please, and then I jerk, I’m over it, tumbling in an instant into shudders and shakes. Shane’s lips lift from mine as he breathes with me. His fingers slow as he eases me through the waves until I collapse against his chest.

He tangles his fingers in my hair and drags my mouth back to his. “And no one but me will ever make you come like that again,” he declares, the waves of his emotions beating down any embarrassment I might feel over having had an orgasm on his father’s desk.

“No one has ever made me feel what you make me feel, Shane.”

Review:

So Bad Deeds is the third book in the Dirty Money series. This is most definitely a series that you have to read in order as it follows Emily and Shane throughout the whole series. If you are looking to start this series, which I would highly recommend, the first book is Hard Rules (you can find my review here), and then the second book is Damage Control (you can find my review for that one here).

****DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE FIRST TWO, THERE MAY BE SPOILERS****

I won’t be discussing spoilers for this book, but I would suggest continuing if you haven’t read up to this point.

Alright, *wipes head* now that I have that out of the way we can get down to business!! So Bad Deeds picks up literally right where Damage Control leaves off. Emily and Shane are at dinner with Shane’s family. Emily is considering walking away not only for the reason of the danger she brings to the table, which we discovered last book, but also because Derek makes a threat against her life. Emily grew closer to Brandon senior in book two and I loved the way their relationship blossoms. Now I felt that Damage Control was a little bit of a filler book, which tends to happen in series’ such as this one. There was a lot of explanation for why things were happening, and learning about the characters and their pasts…not so much drama or the escalation that we saw in the first one.  However, Bad Deeds brings it back 100 fold. Seriously, so much goes down in this book it was hard to put it down. There was twists and turns and action like no one’s business. AND I LOVED IT!! I was so glad to see Jones really come back with a punch for this one.

Bad Deeds has by far been my favorite so far in this series. We get to witness so much happening to the characters we have grown to love, and even the ones we have grown to hate. Now, in the hopes of keeping this spoiler free I won’t be giving you any of the juicy details. However, I will say this…Bad Deeds focuses mostly on the things happening within the Brandon world. Emily’s threat of the hacker group that are after her don’t really make an appearance.  That being said, I’m sure they will make a reappearance at some point, but don’t worry because we had enough going on between Shane, Derek, and Martina to keep me on the edge of my seat. Jones did such a great job showing such a wide span of evolution in our characters in Bad Deeds, I loved that each character had his or her own journey in this book. We really got to witness some great changes to characters we have come to know. As well as giving us some superbly written suspense.

THAT DAMN F*CKING CLIFFHANGER THOUGH

Alright, so one of my main weaknesses in reading a series like this one is that I am horrible at playing the waiting game. And damn you Lisa Renee Jones you broke me with this one!! I don’t know that I will survive. I need the next book NOW!! Read it DM me let’s talk about it!!!

The Wright Mistake by K.A. Linde | Blog Tour with Review

A new stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

I spent six weeks screwing Austin Wright’s brains out and all I got was this broken heart.

He can’t be trusted. Not with my body or my heart. Yet, two years have passed and I still crave him like an addict needing a fix.

The last time we tried this, it nearly ruined me. I know I should run and never look back. But his dark haunted eyes and razor blade smile speak to my soul. His touch sets my body on fire. And we all know what happens when you light gasoline. Someone is bound to get burned.

A second chance might destroy us both.

Because everyone knows two wrongs don’t make a Wright.

REVIEW

Ummmmm WHAT?!? My poor heart!!

SO.MANY.FEELS.

I always know going in I will enjoy anything from Linde. I devoured the first two books in this series and you can find my reviews for them here Book 1 and Book 2. I loved each of them, and I absolutely love Linde’s writing. However, I knew from the beginning that Austin’s story was going to be different for me. Linde successfully managed it rip my heart out with The Wright Mistake. It was emotional and powerful and at some points had me going “OH NO SHE DIDN’T”.

I loved Julia and Austin SO much!! We have come to both know and adore (in my case) these two throughout the other books, as we get to see glimpses of them. We know Julia as the sassy head of HR at Wright Construction, and Austin as the playboy partier brother. I knew even just getting glimpses of them in the prior books that they would end up being my favorite, and I wasn’t wrong. They are perfect for each other, and while their relationship may be

“as addictive as heroine and as combustive as gasoline.”

we love them all the more for it.

The way The Wright Mistake unfolded was beautiful. So many things happened in this book, not only to our own Julia and Austin, but also to other characters we have grown to love. No spoilers here because I simply can’t spoil the magic. But I was left a blubbering mess at times. My respect for Linde as an author has grown with this book. The way she handled addiction was just so real. Simply, I could go on for quite a while about everything I loved about this book but I tried to keep it to an organized mess, hopefully I succeeded 😉 but know if you have to choose just one book in this series make it this one! Also, I can’t wait to finally get Morgan’s story!! January can’t come soon enough.

Beneath The Truth by Meghan March | Blog Tour with Review

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes the final sexy standalone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans.

I used to believe there were lines in life you don’t cross.
Don’t lie. Don’t cheat. Don’t steal.
Until I learned people don’t always practice what they preach.
I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything.
Then I got the call no one wants, and I’m back in New Orleans.
What I don’t expect is for her to be here too.
Another line you don’t cross?
Don’t touch your best friend’s little sister.
She’s always been off-limits.
Too bad I don’t follow the rules anymore.

REVIEW

Dear Meghan March,

I LOVE YOU.

Also, you ripped my freaking heart out…

But I forgive you!

This is only like the second book I have read from March, and seriously I don’t know why I do this to myself, but the first book in the Beneath series I have read. Now, I know this happens to be the LAST book in the series…but YES it was the first one I read. I don’t know why I always choose to pick a series up with the last book, I don’t, it’s silly, I know. On the bright side yes this is a standalone, so I had no problem reading it what so ever. Although I did have quite an interest in the supporting characters so I will be visiting the rest of the series… And March you did crazy things to my heart with this book, it going to be hard to top.

Beneath The Truth is the story of Rhett Hennessy ( I mean COME ON even that damn name is sexy 😉  )  who is a former detective. And Ariel his best friends tech-y little sister. That’s about all the information you will get out of me involving the plot of this book. There are simply too many amazing things that go down in this story to want to spoil it for anyone. So please…go pick up your copy, read it, and then send me a DM on twitter or something so we can gush about it!!! Because OH MY F*CKING GOD. This book.

March delivered a book that blew me away. The only other experience I had with March was Take Me Back, which also knocked me on my ass. So in all honesty I didn’t really expect anything different, but this took it to a whole new level. The writing in Beneath The Truth is straight up PHENOMENAL. There is just no other way to describe it. It had me hooked from the very beginning. There are so many plot twists and turns that I was on my toes the whole time. It was an emotional rollercoaster in a way I have never experienced in a book before. There was betrayal, heartbreak, love, and oh so many swoon worthy moments…that when I finished it I had to sit back and just process it all.

I really could go on and on about how amazing this book is, but I will let you all experience it for yourselves. But seriously go experience it…I’m not kidding! You won’t regret it in the least.

Overall Rating: 5/5 Hennessy stars

Wham. My heart slammed against my ribs as it sped up about twenty beats per minute.

The heat and delicious woodsy citrus scent radiating from his body did good things to me. Things that made me want to do very bad things to him. I wasn’t a seventeen-year-old virgin anymore. I knew my way around a man, but I had to admit, the hipsters in Cali had nothing on a homegrown Louisiana man like Rhett.

When he spoke, he leaned in so close that I could feel his breath on my ear. “You missed that shot on purpose.”

My gaze jumped from the sexy five o’clock shadow shading his jaw to his piercing green eyes.

“Wha-what are you talking about?” I smacked myself mentally when my old stammer kicked in. Of course he would cause it.

“That shot. You missed on purpose. I saw you adjust at the last minute. Why?”

I swallowed the saliva pooling in my mouth and decided to take the safest exit from this situation. Lying.

“Cue slipped.”

His eyes narrowed on me. “You’re lying and you’re terrible at it, just like you’ve always been.” He reached up and pressed his thumb to my left eyebrow. “You get a twitch right here.”

Oh my God. Rhett Hennessy is touching me. And what’s more . . . he knows my tell. He noticed me!

The fifteen-year-old inside me did a terrible cartwheel at the realization. Okay, more of a round-off. With a tumble in the grass to finish. Whatever.

But outwardly, I was trapped in that green gaze until he decided to let me go—or until I came to my senses.

I cleared my throat and sidestepped him. “Whatever you say, hotshot. I need another drink.”

Focusing on putting one four-inch heel in front of the other without biting it, I escaped to the table and reached for the whiskey glass I’d left behind, interrupting my brother and the waitress. They both stared at me as I chugged the contents.

I’d always wondered what it would feel like to have Rhett’s attention, and now I knew. In a word, it was . . . unnerving.

“How’s the game going?” my brother asked.

“Fine.” Keeping my answer short meant he couldn’t tell that I was lying. Heath wasn’t nearly as observant as Rhett.

“You winning?”

Thanking the Lord that Heath obviously hadn’t been watching, I shrugged. “I guess.”

He glanced toward Rhett and then back to me. “The sister I know and love doesn’t lose at pool. Ever. Even to Rhett Hennessy.”

I lowered the glass to the table and straightened my shoulders. “Like they say, things change.”

He nodded slowly. “That may be true about most things, Flounder. But you’re a pool shark and we both know it.”

Before I could respond, Heath’s attention jumped back to the waitress. I took another ten seconds to gather myself, also known as drinking offensively in my mind, before I crossed the floor to face off against my former obsession.

“You all right, Red?” Rhett asked.

“Don’t call me that. And I’ve never been better.”

His gaze dipped to my feet and dragged up my body. “I can agree with that statement.”

Whoa. Who is this guy with the innuendo? A glance at his empty whiskey glass told me he was drinking heavily as well. Was this the booze talking? Or was Rhett Hennessy not just noticing me, but noticing me?

Either way, I had to play it cool. Or at least pretend to play it cool, since it seemed I might fall short.

“Your turn, hotshot. Better not miss, because I’ll clear the table next time,” I said, but my cocky attitude backfired.

Rhett didn’t miss. He sank his balls and then the eight, ending the game almost as quickly as it started. He returned his cue to the rack and turned to face me, all traces of the earlier heat banked, his expression shuttered.

“Game over.”

What the hell just happened?

Fractured Love by Ella James | Review

35134867Title: Fractured Love

Author: Ella James

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: July 19th 2017

Blurb:

I was sixteen when he came to our house. Landon Jones, a boy with nothing, from nowhere. He had cinnamon hair and blue eyes—light blue, just like mine. When we went out as a family with my foster brother, people asked if Landon was my twin. He wasn’t. That year, we found out how much he wasn’t. When my parents caught us, they threw Landon out like trash.

Now I’m twenty-nine, a soon-to-be surgeon, like my mom and dad. I know residency is going to kick my ass, but I had no idea that it would rip my heart out, too. Not until I see him—Dr. Jones.

Thoughts (2)

| I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review |

Let’s start out by stating some facts about me…

1. This is my first Ella James book.

2. Im a sucker for a forbidden love story.

3. I’m all about a second chance romance.

Alright, so now that we have that out of the way *swipes hand across forehead* let me say this…OH MY GOOD LORD I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Fractured Love is the story of Evie and Landon. Landon is the newest foster sibling brought into Evie’s house. The first part of the book tells the story of Evie and Landon as teenagers. There was just something that drew these two together even though they knew that their relationship was all wrong, even though it felt so right. After Evie’s parents found out about their secret relationship, they sent Landon off without a second thought. Evie hadn’t seen Landon since that night, despite her pleas with her parents, until she walks into the hospital where she is doing her residency. The second part of the book is Evie and Landon reconnecting throughout their time spent together in the hospital.

James gives us such an emotional read in Fractured Love. I felt the love and emotion behind both Landon and Evie. I devoured this book in a day…well more like a morning HEHE. James’ writing had such a great flow to it that I got caught up, I didn’t even know I had finished half the book until I had to stop to get a drink. I really enjoyed that this book was written in a dual POV, I enjoyed getting to see into the minds of both MCs. Another thing I was extremely grateful for in this book was that it was split into the two halves. I appreciated that I got to fall in love with both Evie and Landon as teenagers first (I am kind a sucker for teenage love stories) and that we got to experience that with them before the present day. So many times, book involving a time jump like this will do flash backs, or even chapters from the past, but with Fractured Love I got the beginning all up front (or at least mostly upfront…can’t give it all away!). I think that this deepened my appreciation for the love between these two and all the struggles they went through.

This is a great example of how a second chance romance should be written. If thats your thing then this definitely needs to find it’s way onto your TBR you won’t regret it!

The Taste of Her Words by Candace Knoebel | Blog Tour & Review

Today we have the blog tour for The Taste of Her Words by Candace Knoebel! Check it out and grab your copy today!

Title: The Taste of Her Words

Author: Candace Knoebel

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Taste of Her Words:

Andrea was my first taste of love.

She was there throughout my childhood and into adulthood. Her words were a secret I wasn’t supposed to know. Truths and pain bled onto papers that shredded my innocence and carved a hole in my heart only she could fill.

Her words were my first kiss. They were the uneven breaths I took when I saw her, and my hands between her thighs inside the dreams she haunted. She was my best friend’s older sister and, even though she didn’t know it yet, she was the pen that would ink our destiny into the stars.

Dean tempted me to cross a line I never thought I would.

It had been so long since someone looked at me the way he did. Five years since his starry gaze caressed my words and I ran from a kiss I couldn’t shake. He was everything I should stay away from, but how could I resist the beautifully broken man whose touch stoked a fire within my soul?

Dean was the missing words to my fairy tale. The parchment I could safely put my most intimate thoughts to. But when secrets from the past catch up with us, how could our perfectly plotted ending survive?

Review:

“Time is but a measure I can map my love for you with. Love happened quickly and swiftly, like the first breath of air, bringing us to life. My heart was hers before I even knew how to give it away, and now she’d finally handed me hers in return.”

The Taste of Her Words was a truly special and beautiful book. Every once in a while I will come across a book that speaks to my soul…that is beautiful in every way…that leaves a lasting impression. The Taste of Her Words was one of those books. It was a beautiful, raw and poetic. The Taste of Her Words is at it’s core a second chance romance, but oh my it was SO much more. Andrea and Dean’s story is absolutely beautiful. Dean is the best friend of Andrea’s younger brother, younger than her by quite a few years, but he has always had feelings for her. Andrea, try as she might, has tried to ignore her feelings for Dean. They shared 1 kiss a night 5 years ago, but neither one can forget it’s lasting impression.

“Dean was like the perfect sunset. A brief whirlwind of colors as fleeting as every passing minute. He could never truly be mine. Not while my past nipped at my heels.”

We are gifted in this book with two MCs that so absolutely strong. Andrea, a single mom just trying to make ends meet, while her son’s father is mentally unstable and abusive. She is also struggling with the fact that she dropped out of college and gave up pursuing her dreams of writing, in order to raise her son. Dean on the other hand is the “black sheep” of his family. He got into trouble as a teenager in order to save a girls life…not that anyone knows the true story. And has had to deal with the backlash of this his whole adult life.

“I found you in between heart beats, inside a caught breath, hiding behind a cage of bone. Dance with me, you said. Find our rhythm home.”

This is the first book I have read I have read by Candace Knoebel, and it will not be the last. Knoebel’s writing was a masterpiece. The two MCs bonded over a love of words, and Knoebel used that love to draw us into the story even more. She used poetry and her affinity for words to bring to life a beautiful, tragic, memorable story. I didn’t manage to make it more than a couple pages without stopping to highlight!! And that says something, I’m not really a big notes taker when it comes to reading!

The Taste of Her Words has been one of my favorite reads of 2017 so far. I would highly recommend this book to, well, everyone! If you are sucker for romance in any capacity this book needs to be on your TBR.

 Overall Rating: 5/5 BEAUTIFUL stars

Unconventional by Isabel Love | Release Blitz & Review

Title: Unconventional
Author: Isabel Love
Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: July 20, 2017
Blurb
Happily ever after—what a joke! I tried that once and ended
up divorced.
Now, I only want one thing from men.
Charlie Nelson is good at giving me that one thing. Really, really good.
So good, in fact, I discovered a new side of myself.
I never knew I liked to watch until I saw
his talented hands touching someone else.
I never knew I liked to be watched until I
felt his searing gaze on me.
Maybe happily ever after isn’t always a white picket fence,
wedding bells, and 2.5 kids.
Maybe it’s something a bit more…unconventional.
*Warning: Contains dirty talk, piercings and hot threesomes.
Intended for readers over 18 years of age.

This book was H-O-T!!! Like have a toy or significant other on standby hot!
Unconventional is the first book I have read by Isabel Love…and I’m never looking back. I will most definitely be exploring her other books. I am all about a good erotic romance and she gave me exactly what I needed in this one. Unconventional is the story of Quinn and Charlie. Quinn and Charlie are friends and a casual hookup, and one night Quinn discovers a new side of herself while at a club with Charlie. Why can’t she walk away when she stumbles on Charlie getting naughty with another girl? Well because it’s so much fun to watch of course. I have read my fair share of erotic romance, but this one was original to me. I loved the way that not only were they with each other but they were able to bring others into their bedroom as well.
Damn Isabel Love you light those sex scenes were on FIRE. This is by far the hottest book I have read so far this year. Yes, this book has a lot, and I mean A LOT of sex…but it didn’t deter from the story. Love’s writing had a good steady flow to it. I fell in love with the characters and their journey from no strings to relationship status. Charlie and Quinn’s chemistry was off the carts, shot up into space status off the charts. And oh man, let’s take a moment to cool off from the scenes where Quinn and Charlie “played” I think I loved their two add ons just as much as I loved them! That scene in the strip club had me combusting! 😉
I loved that Love included some of the family drama for our characters as well, we got to see how they ended up with the attitude they had towards relationships. A lot of erotic romance fall short on the story side of the writing, and focus 100% on the sex. Unconventional did not and I was so happy about it.  I was not disappointed in any way with this book…and if you are a lover of erotic romance, or even just SUPER HOT reads, this is a must for you.

What an
odd date this is
—he’s
taking me out to watch another man give me orgasms.
A giggle
erupts from my throat at the thought.
“What’s so
funny?” He grins over at me as he starts up the car and pulls out into the
street.
“Just…this.
I can’t believe I’m doing this. I never thought I was this kind of woman.”
He narrows
his eyes at me. “What kind of woman?”
“The…you
know…threesome kind, or whatever this is.” I wave my hand in front of me.
“The kind
of woman that likes to explore her sexuality? The kind of woman that likes to
try new things? The kind of woman that doesn’t let society dictate the way she
leads her life?”
Hmm. I don’t mind being that kind
of woman. I feel his stare at the stoplight.
“Quinn.”
My mirth
dies and my smile fades at his serious tone. I meet his blue eyes and raise my
eyebrows in question.
“You listen
to me: I think you’re fucking amazing—strong, beautiful, talented, sexy as
fuck. If doing this is going to change your opinion of yourself, let’s not.”
My chest
squeezes at his sincerity and I feel so much better about tonight. I mean, I am
excited, but I must admit I was afraid of the judgement factor, of what
he’ll think of me after tonight. Now he’s worried about what I’ll think
of myself, and that alone makes me square my shoulders, raise my
chin, and reassure him.
“I want
this, Charlie, really want it. I promise I won’t regret it
later.”
He leans
forward, smiling, and places a soft kiss on my lips. “That’s more like it.”

Sin by Emma Hart | Blog Tour With Review

Damien fox lived up to his name. Cunning, sly, and dangerous, fifty percent of Vegas’ strip clubs were his.

Whatever he wanted, money, attention, women, he got.

And now he wanted to buy my bar, no matter the cost.

I wanted him to go to hell on a first-class ticket.

He played a dirty game, and I followed his rules. I let him think he would win.

Despite our differences, it was clear to see that we were no more than two broken hearts colliding in the darkness.

Closed off, sexy, and holding a pain that would crush a lesser man, he was the ultimate sin.

One I couldn’t deny myself, even though I knew better than to trust a fox…

(SIN is book one of the Vegas Nights series. Each book in this series is a standalone novel.)

REVIEW

“If I had to compare him to something, it’d be a romance novel. One that was deep and dark and questionable, full of secrets and twisty-turns layered under lies and sex and lust.”

OHMIGOD!!!

You guys this book!!!

Okay, I will try to keep this review on topic…but man it is going to be hard. I fucking loved this book! It was absolutely everything I could have wanted and more. I think this is the first book I have had a chance to read from Emma Hart, even though I have been a follower of her work for a while. And apparently I really have been missing out, no surprise there!! Sin was steamy and sexy and brilliant. Damien Fox was just that a fox…and you know how I like my men!

“If horniness had a sound, it would be his voice.”

Oh yes, yes it would! I loved the relationship that developed between Damien and Dahlia, they simply had such great chemistry. I loved that Damien was a total alpha business man, and Dahlia was a strong willed independent business woman. These two against each other lead to some serious heat. *fans self* Hart’s writing was so well done. I loved the small details that she included. Not to mention she knows how to write some damn good naughty scenes. Add on top of  that the fact that Hart brought a level of humor to her writing as well that seriously had me laughing out loud at points…it was just a win all around.

“There was no place like a bookstore. Multiple bookstores were even better. Kind of like orgasms. Happiness was where the books- and orgasms- were, after all.”

Now I am just going to take a moment to appreciate that Hart created my absolute perfect life in this book. Book themed bar? Check. Alpha male? Check. Delicious sex? Check. And can we take a moment and just talk about the trip to the bookstore? I mean seriously I think that is my biggest fantasy!

If this hasn’t already found its way onto your TBR then run don’t walk to goodreads to add it! I will definitely be catching up on my Emma Hart reading backlog…not to mention the second book in this series Lust comes out in September and I can’t wait!!!

The Knocked Up Plan | Review

Title: The Knocked Up Plan

Author: Lauren Blakely

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Format: E-book

Blurb:

There are three little words most guys don’t want to hear on the first date. Not those…I mean these… “knock me up.”

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it’s not true love. It’s a bun in the oven, and I’m not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick co-worker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty and charming — and he’s also a notorious commitment-phobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me.

I won’t fall for him, he won’t fall for me, and there’s no way baby will make three.
Right?

****
There are four words every guy wants to hear on the first date — “your place or mine?”

When my hot-as-sin co-worker makes me a no-strings-attached offer that involves her place, my place, any place — as well as any position — I can’t refuse. Besides, I’ve got my own reasons to take her up on her deal even with her one BIG condition.

There’s no way I’ll want more from one woman than any position, any where, any night? Except . . . what if I do?

If you need me I’ll just be over here swooning!!

I know when I pick up a Lauren Blakely book I am in for a fun rom-com with a lot of heart. The Knocked Up Plan was no different! The idea for this book was so original. Nicole wants a baby…she wants a baby so bad she is willing to go it alone. She has accepted single-motherhood and is perfectly happy taking the road less traveled to get where she wants. But there is still the small requirement of the baby batter. When Nicole doesn’t fall in love with any of the donors available she decides what can be wrong about asking her delicious co-worker to provide a sample. Both of the MC’s have an aversion to relationships, so nothing can go wrong right?? Wrong.

The Knocked Up Plan is so witty and hilarious. Blakely’s writing does it again. The baby idea driving this whole book was just so original, I was so excited to read something a little out of the box and this definitely didn’t let me down (but really when has Blakely ever let me down?!?).  This book really had such a great flow to it. Not to mention the dynamic between Nicole and Ryder was phenomenal. Nicole was such a independent female which I enjoyed oh so much! And Ryder, MMMMMMM, totally swoon worthy, and a little damaged from a past relationship (which you know I’m a sucker for) was a great counter to Nicole.

I read this whole book in one sitting…if that doesn’t prove how much I loved it I don’t know what else will. There were so many laughs and tender moments it was just hard not to fall in love!

Take Me Back by Meghan March | Blog Tour with Review

TakeMeBack_FrontCoverWe fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.

Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.

It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.

I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.

Two damaged people.

Countless secrets.

The fight of our lives.

We might be broken, but we’re not done.

REVIEW

Holly. Hell. Guys this book!! This book was phenomenal! I devoured it, if I hadn’t had to work and sleep I would have read it all in one sitting. Now normally I will give you somewhat of a summary of the book, however, with Take Me Back I am not going to go that route, mostly because this is one of those books you have to go into blind. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s reading experience so I won’t be giving you any details from the book. What I will be giving you is an order to run and pick up this book…NOW. This is the first book I have read from March, and it most certainly will not be my last. There writing was perfect, the characters were perfect, everything about this book was perfect. Now normally you know I don’t go on and on about how great a book is, because just because I feel that way doesn’t mean you will. I understand this, not every book is for everyone. However, I seriously can’t explain how amazing this book was. And it was so unexpected, it literally blew me away. If you like romance…read this book. If you like books…read this book. Hell even if you don’t like to read at all (what a strange thought, I know!)…still read this book!! It had so many good story driven elements, as well as lessons I think we all need to learn about life. Okay, I will stop word vomiting my glowing review and leave you with this…

GO. GO NOW. and get this book, no doubt this book will fall on my top books of the year list. And more than likely earned it’s spot on my favorite books of all time list. Now what are you waiting for!!
