Standalone Sunday

Standalone Sunday | January 8th

Hey loves! How’s everyones weekend going? I hope you all are enjoying life. I swear this past week was a chaotic mess! I feel like I had it all planned out and was on the right track and then BAM here we are on Sunday and I feel like I got absolutely nothing accomplished! It’s okay though I guess, sometimes life just gets in the way. Anyways, it is Sunday which means it is time for a Standalone Sunday post… which is hosted by the awesome Megan @ bookslayerReads.

This week I feel be showcasing…

31144752Shannon Hale knows what she wants in life. Or so she thought.

But one cheating fiancé and shredded wedding dress later, she skips town desperately needing a do-over. So she moves in with her brother, the new quarterback for the Raleigh Rough Riders, starts her own business, and vows to live by her own rules and no one else’s.

Oliver Powell is a man who always gets what he wants. As the sexy as sin MVP Tight End, he’s arrogant. He’s loaded. He’s also got a sizeable package below the belt that drives the women crazy.

And he’s focused. The prize—a Super Bowl ring on his finger.

His concentration on getting that ring is unwavering—until Shannon Hale shows up. Now the only game he wants to win involves her ending up in his bed.

The problem? Shannon wants nothing to do with NFL’s resident playboy.

The solution? Play dirty.

Dirty Player was a great read. I enjoyed both characters the Stacey Lynn brought us in this book. Oliver and Shannon were funny and relatable…as well as super steamy. Not to mention this is obviously a sports romance, which by now you guys know I adore. I highly recommend this to anyone who was a quick steamy read, or anyone who loves a good sports romance!

Plan to check this one out? Have a standalone Sunday recommendation? Let’s chat below!

And as always if you participated this week drop your link so I can check out your post!!

Until next time…

  1. I’ll be honest with you… sports romance isn’t my preferred genre, but you make a good case for the book! And I must say… that cover is freakin’ sexy! Lol! Thanks for the rec, Kaytlyn!
