**Thank you to the author for sending me a copy in exchange for and honest review!**

This book is kind of hard to summarize without giving anything away…but I am going to try! Finding Claire finds our main character, Rainy, escaping from her captors. She is injured, cold, and has no idea who she is, when she ends up on Alex’s doorstep in the middle of the night. Alex takes her in, rushes her to the hospital and calls in his best friend, who happens to be a detective. Rainy grows increasingly attached to the man who came to her rescue. As they delve into the mystery that brought Rainy to Alex’s door, the two uncover not only what the past holds, but what the future might have in plan for them together. This story is told in multiple points of view, Rainy and Alex, but also includes letters for Claire written by her mother as she unfolds the events of her past.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I knew after reading the synopsis that this book was right up my alley. Humphrey creates a beautifully enchanting mystery that had me drawn from the beginning. I loved everything from the characters, to the storyline, to the flow of this book! Finding Claire has the perfect tempo…it’s story unravels at the perfect speed to keep you entertained until the end. There were just so many elements that connected well within this story. You have the story of Alex and Rainy, Claire, and Claire’s mother. Past and present. All of these different stories come together to produce a spectacular novel. It has twists and turns at every point, although I must say that the ending wasn’t necessarily a surprise to me, but the way it unfolds is well done!

Rainy’s character is extremely relatable. If put in the situation I probably would have handled things the exact same way. When we meet Rainy she is shy and timid. Having no memory before the kidnapping she is very nervous about who to trust, and she clings to Alex. However, she doesn’t trust herself in her bond with Alex outside of him being a savior. As the story unfolds we get to see Rainy come back into her own. We get to see her character develop into a strong woman.

Alex is a guy who has shut everyone out. He lost his wife a couple years prior, and has moved to the middle of nowhere to get away from having to deal with the past. But when Rainy appears on his doorstep one night he must take on the role of protector. I loved Alex, he has been through so much and watching his character blossom and get a handle on his past as the book goes on was truly great.

Overall, this book is a tale of finding out the mysteries of the past, and falling in love with parts of your life you didn’t expect. I recommend you take the journey with Rainy and Alex as they explore not only their pasts but also their future together. This book really just is the perfect combination of everything I love…romance and mystery, strong and weak, happy and heartbreaking. I very much suggest picking this book up and giving it a read! I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!

Overall Rating: 5/5 AMAZING stars!
