Hey guys I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! It’s Sunday again which means it’s time for Standalone Sunday which is a weekly meme hosted over by Megan @ bookslayerReads! It is a way to showcase all those standalone novels that always seem to be swept aside!

This week I’m showcasing

6569735Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in “The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas.” She survived—and famously testified that her fifteen-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, the Kill Club—a secret society obsessed with notorious crimes—locates Libby and pumps her for details. They hope to discover proof that may free Ben. Libby hopes to turn a profit off her tragic history: She’ll reconnect with the players from that night and report her findings to the club—for a fee. As Libby’s search takes her from shabby Missouri strip clubs to abandoned Oklahoma tourist towns, the unimaginable truth emerges, and Libby finds herself right back where she started—on the run from a killer.

This book! This book easily ranks as one of my top 10 books of all time! This is the thriller I compare all other thrillers to. I simply love what Gillian Flynn created in this story. I’m not overly impressed with the other books I have read by Flynn, but Dark Places is magical. I am one of those people that can see I plot twist coming a mile away but the twist in this one blew my mind! It is an overall great book and if you haven’t checked this one out I highly recommend it!

Have you read this one? What do you guys think? As always feel free to leave the link to your post below! 🙂

  2. I haven’t read this one! I’ve read Sharp Objects and loved it, so I’m hoping to really like this one as well. I recently won a copy of this book thru a giveaway, so it’s sitting on my shelf waiting for me. ☺️
